365, 3: day 241

I had a lovely vacation day today, sleeping in, having Afghan pizza for lunch over my book (American Pastoral, which I’m loving), and then renting a bike and riding all over town. It was grey and overcast and a bit chilly, without being actually cold, and the Midwest backdrops were so dramatic. I biked down to Lake Calhoun and sat there with my book for a bit before walking up Hennepin, stopping in a coffee shop for some more reading, and finally meeting my friend after he got out of work for a rooftop drink and dinner. We saw Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, which I’d been wanting to see for YEARS, and it was hysterical and amazing. We yet again stayed up late, deep in discussion, and then I stayed up even later watching more Orange is the New Black.
