365, 3: day 243

My sisters and nephew picked me up this morning and we headed out to Mall of America. The original plan was to take my nephew to the aquarium, but when we saw the like $28 admission ticket per person, we decided he was definitely not old enough to appreciate it. Instead, we went on kiddy rides and had lunch at Rainforest Cafe. And I generally marveled at his intense, child-like appreciate of the little things (which, let’s be honest, I still have to a degree…), and his budding vocabulary and awareness of the world. From there, we went up to my cousin’s graduation party with almost all of my cousins and aunts and uncles on my dad’s side, and my grandparents! So many of my favorite people in one place, waaaaaay too much wine, but so much fun. My heart could not be more full, as much as I usually roll my eyes at statements like that. Look at this picture and at that little face of wonder and joy. That is literally all I strive for in life (and I’m so grateful that I still feel capable of feeling that way).
