365, 4: day 289

Washington, D.C.

We flew to DC today, arriving just in time for a lovely sunset walk across the Potomac (I suppose I don’t actually know which state/district this was in?) and around Georgetown (I’d spent a summer there during high school and it was serious nostalgia). We met up with a college friend at Martin’s Tavern, where JFK proposed to Jackie and tons of other DC things. My boyfriend got Nixon’s favorite meatloaf?! And we ended the night in one of my favorite ways ever, in a hotel lobby with a bottle of wine and great people (this time two of his brothers and a couple of their friends).
