I was nervous about my first Thanksgiving not with my parents. But, thanks to lots of good planning and expectation setting, plus a wonderful husband and great friends, it was delightful. We slept in, watched the parade and some football, and generally had a quiet day of relaxing and reading and puttering around the house, and I went for a great run outside, during which I thought about everything I was thankful for, and we went to my newly-returned-to-LA-former-coworker-BFF’s house for dinner at 7, which was hilarious and wonderful and so much delicious food and we stayed until 2am. And I survived! And it was fun. So much to be thankful for.
